In the field of imported meats including beef, pork, and chicken, which the Foodstuffs Division pioneered, the division conducts stable importing in partnership with prominent overseas packers and production centers that provide integrated services from stock raising to processing. In this way the division has always maintained a top share of the market. Aspiring to expand its presence in processed foods that are more familiar to consumers, the division is pushing forward with the development and import of processed meat products and processed agricultural and marine products while providing quality, reliable food ingredients suited to Japanese tastes. Moreover, the division is expanding globally, providing foodstuffs not only to Japan but also to markets outside Japan.
